Savannah-made “Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies” now available

I had a chance to see Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies a few days ago on the big screen at the Jepson Center for the Arts along with many members of the cast and crew, but as of Tuesday the movie was available for small screen viewing via a variety of retail and rental outlets.

Grist on the resurgence of local food in the South

Re: Magazine, launched a few months ago by SCAD students, has just published its second issue. The magazine is heavy on fashion stories but also includes profiles, reviews, and all sorts of other pieces.

Beryl update: weakened storm begins U-turn

Now weakened Tropical Depression Beryl appears to be making its expected turn northward to be followed by a turn northeastward. It will bring a lot of rain to some areas.

“CBGB” film cast filling out, scheduled to begin shooting June 25th in Savannah

The cast reportedly includes Alan Rickman, Rupert Grint, Sana Katic, Joel David Moore, Malin Akerman, Julian Acosta, Richard De Klerk, Josh Zuckerman, Ryan Hurst, and Estelle Harris (Mrs. Costanza from “Seinfeld”).
