Thanks to MusicFile Productions, Modern English will be playing a show on August 28th at Dollhouse here in Savannah. For those of us of a certain age, that merits a wow. Modern English’s “I Melt with You” was a nightclub…
The young Savannah band Deep Search was recently booked to play the 2013 Savannah Stopover — one of a limited number of local acts playing the March 7-9 festival. (I have been and will be posting a lot about Stopover.) On Saturday, Feb. 2, Deep Search will be playing a really promising gig in the interesting upstairs room at The Sparetime with Elim Bolt and Brave Baby.
Another Safe//Sound production at The Sparetime. These upstairs shows at the new-ish bar at the corner of Congress and MLK have drawn good audiences and intriguing acts that likely wouldn’t have stopped in Savannah at all in the past.
Swedish performer Molly Nilsson performed a beautiful set on the second floor of The Sparetime on Monday night.
Another interesting show upstairs at The Sparetime.
Great dance band from Louisville, Kentucky.
Looks like a fun Monday night at a relatively new venue that I’m listing on this calendar for the first time.
