This is going to be a big post with all sorts of info regarding Savannah St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. I’ll update here or in new posts as necessary.
First off, the city is implementing a wristband policy ($5) for drinking outside in the “control zone” from Friday through Monday (except not during the parade itself). I am opposed to this policy, which I discuss in my upcoming City Talk column on Monday.
So here are just a bunch of links and other info that you might need:
The Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee website has the parade route (below) plus information on parking, shuttles, etc.
The parade will begin at 10:15 a.m. on Monday. There will be major disruptions to normal parking and traffic patterns downtown, but especially in the neighborhoods east of Forsyth Park, beginning on Sunday.

The Savannah-Chatham police Facebook page and Twitter feed will be chock full of useful info all weekend. Like this:
There will also be info on the City of Savannah’s St. Pat’s Facebook page and Twitter feed.
At the moment, the weather forecast looks pretty crappy, with a chance of rain picking up on Saturday night and pretty high chances of rain all day and night on Sunday and Monday.
