The lineup for Lollapalooza, slated for August 2-4 in Chicago’s Grant Park, was released earlier today.
Headliners include The Cure, Mumford & Sons, The Killers, Nine Inch Nails, Phoenix, The Postal Service, Vampire Weekend, New Order, Queens of the Stone Age, The National, and The Lumineers.
There are a fair number of acts that have played Savannah in recent years, and it’s also worth noting that Baroness will be playing Lollapalooza.
according to an upbeat post by John Baizley on the band’s website, Baroness is resurfacing after four months of recuperating after a motor coach crash in England.

There were nine people on the bus. All were injured when the bus left the roadway during heavy rain and fell 30 feet at about 11:30 a.m. local time after coming down a steep hill and failing to execute a right turn.
There are reports of injuries but no fatalities in the crash today near Bath of the bus for metal band Baroness, which was founded here in Savannah.
