I’m not going to be posting about this with every official update, but all folks along the Georgia coast, the southern portion of South Carolina, and the northern part of Florida should be preparing for a potentially serious storm. Beryl is NOT currently predicted to reach hurricane strength, but tropical storms and depressions can be pretty nasty.
There’s a near 100% chance of a tropical or subtropical cyclone forming off the Atlantic coast sometime this weekend. If she reaches tropical storm strength, which seems likely, she’ll be christened Beryl.
Chris Thile has become a mainstay of the Savannah Music Festival each spring. Tonight PBS will feature “The Goat Rodeo Sessions”, a collaboration of mandolinist Thile, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, bluegrass fiddler Stuart Duncan, and bassist Edgar Meyer. That lineup is worth a couple of wows.

I thoroughly enjoyed Les Racquet‘s gig at Live Wire on 5/17, and then they showed up out of the blue to open for Truth & Salvage Co. last Saturday.
I sure hope to catch Les Racquet again on the 31st.
