T-SPLOST getting hammered in Atlanta region by almost 2 to 1

The entire T-SPLOST system was largely created to deal with transportation problems in the Atlanta metro area.

But the regional list and the whole idea of increasing sales taxes to deal with the problems got bogged down in a variety of issues: the suburbs vs. the urban core, highways vs. transit, counties that have already been paying for MARTA vs. those that haven’t, and on and on.

At the moment, the referendum is losing horribly — and is losing in each of the Atlanta region’s 10 counties.
