After Vinnie’s employee Cody Rexrode was injured by a car while on his bicycle (the car fled the scene), he was left with extensive medical bills. Like a large number of Savannah’s service industry employees — a critical part of Savannah’s economy — he has no health insurance.
Savannah being Savannah, that means some great musicians and artists pooling their talents to raise money for Rexrode.
The “Rexrode to Recovery” benefit runs all evening at The Jinx on Saturday, July 21. Click here for the Facebook invite. By the way, I obviously can’t guarantee a celebrity sighting, but a number of CBGB stars have been stopping at The Jinx late at night.
