It was another hot and gorgeous spring Saturday for SCAD’s Sidewalk Arts Festival.
Maybe I’m jaded after 17 years of going to these (this was the 31st SAF), but I’m a lot less impressed by the chalk art these days than by the sheer energy and diversity of so many different people — and so many different dogs — gathering for a day of fun in Forsyth Park. It’s an amazing urban space, which I recently rhapsodized about in a City Talk column.
It was so bright and the shade along the paths was so deep and mottled that I really needed to take along a flash to get some fill light. Maybe next year.
