Savannah area gas prices down 35 cents a gallon from recent peak

Since we see the price of gas more than the price of anything else, it’s easy to get caught up in very small changes, especially when the price is going up and up and up.

According to GasBuddy.com, Savannah area gas prices are off about $.35 from their recent peak around $3.87/gallon for unleaded. The average now is $3.515, compared to $3.578 statewide and $3.723 nationwide.

But that’s still $1.10 above the price from a year ago. That’s enough of a difference to have significant impacts on household spending and on driving habits; less driving typically means less commerce too.
