Zunzi’s 2 now open, Kate Spade on the way, other changes in downtown

My City Talk column today leads off with a blurb about the new Chive Sea Bar & Lounge on Broughton Street.

After the rain moved out this afternoon, I headed down to Zunzi’s 2 for a very late lunch.

I’m including a couple of pics of Zunzi’s 2 here, but I’ll say much more about it in my City Talk for next Sunday, June 30th. (The new Zunzi’s location is at Drayton and Bryan. The original location of course remains open.)

It was a quiet, lovely, lush late afternoon, so I rode around for a little. Because of a recent trip to New Orleans and other recent commitments, it felt like a long time since I had just rambled around downtown.

There’s a lot of commercial investment activity right now, but on a late afternoon in early summer, everything comes to a pleasant pause.

Most notable, the windows of our Savannah’s future Kate Spade at 317 West Broughton St. confirm that the store is coming soon.

Two pics I posted to my Instagram account of Zunzi’s 2, which has a full bar, table service, and indoor and outdoor seating:
