A great new live video of Astronautalis performing “The River, The Woods” from his complex and beautiful 2011 album This Is Our Science has been produced by MN Orignal. The series is an impressive project of Twin Cities Public Television and highlights Minnesota-based artists and organizations.
I’ve been a huge fan ever since seeing Astronautalis perform at the inaugural Savannah Stopover in 2011.
Regrettably, there are not Savannah gigs on the fall 2012 tour, which you can see in full on his website. Maybe I’ll try to pry myself away from Savannah for a mid-October gig in Jacksonville or Atlanta. He’ll be opening for The Flobots on most of the tour. Some of the small clubs, like Jackrabbits in Jacksonville (where Astronautalis grew up as Andy Bothwell), are sure to sell out — and sure to host stellar shows.
