But for now, via Calculated Risk, is this chart with historical data on the S&P 500. As you can see, this was the 12th worst day since 1950 in terms of percentage losses. Last Thursday’s decline was the 8th worst.
Still, note how many of the worst days were in 2008 or early 2009.
