Others were injured in the accident involving a train that the crew did not expect, and my thoughts go out to them too.<\/p>\n<p>I think it&#8217;s too early to come to firm conclusions about the incident. (AP) \u00e2\u20ac\u201d A movie crew was working on train tracks without permission from the railroad when a freight train crashed into the production team and its equipment, killing one and injuring seven others, a sheriff&#8217;s investigator said Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The Savannah-based crew was shooting footage for &#8220;Midnight Rider,&#8221; a film based on the life of singer Gregg Allman, when the crash happened Thursday afternoon. Wayne County sheriff&#8217;s detectives were working Friday to piece together how and why it happened.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It&#8217;s frankly unclear at this point if the sheriff&#8217;s investigator&#8217;s conclusion about permission is correct.<\/p>\n<p>From the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/nation\/nationnow\/la-na-nn-georgia-sarah-jones-csx-gregg-allman-20140221,0,6107161.story#axzz2u4MbRAbw\" target=\"_blank\">LA Times<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Russell Schweiss, a spokesman for Rayonier, said the film crew had been granted permission to shoot on the company&#8217;s land for one day.
