I was surprised by the length, forcefulness, vision, and polish of President Obama’s speech, which was given very late last night — ours after it was obvious to me that he was going to win and almost as long after the networks had finally made their calls.

I haven’t had much to say about these things, but I will say I was quite struck by a passage near the end where Romney seeks credit for near-universal coverage in Massachusetts. As President, Romney has vowed to overturn Obamacare, which is extremely similar to what he enacted as Governor:

And as governor of my state, I was able to get 100 percent of my people insured, all my kids, about 98 percent of the adults.
