The Sparetime here in Savannah is going to be spinning vinyl from Jamaican musicians tonight. That inspired this post.

Jamaica became an independent nation 50 years ago today.

Anyone else remember when Black Uhuru played about 15 years ago on River Street? Or when The Skatalites played Velvet Elvis around the same time?
