]]> I don’t know exactly what role the extensive social media efforts over the last two weeks played, but Savannah-based Cusses’ “Don’t Give In” was just announced as the winner of the latest round of voting to get in heavy rotation on mtvU.

From Cusses Win This Round Of The Freshmen:

There were over 100,000 votes on this extended holiday round of The Freshmen with Cusses, Drew32 and The Dead Ships each receiving a lot of fan support. Cusses pulled out the victory in the end though and their eerie video for ‘Don’t Give In’ will be added into rotation next week. Congrats to the band and their passionate hometown of Savannah for helping to push them over the edge.
