Anyone who has been downtown lately at night has possibly noticed something we haven’t seen in a long, long time: lights on at the southeast corner of Congress and Montgomery streets.
The old site of 606 Cafe has been undergoing some rapid changes as renovations have moved ahed in recent months.
And the pace has picked up considerably. Apparently, Anthropologie is hoping to open in time for holiday shopping.
According to the store locator on the company’s website, Savannah’s new Anthropologie is “opening November.”
If you’ve seen these corporate chains get their act in swing when they approach opening, it’s pretty easy to see how quickly the space can be transformed from this point forward.
