A few more updates on the Savannah restaurant scene


I had previously noted that Cafe Florie was undergoing some changes, so last week’s announcement of the restaurant closing wasn’t too surprising. Here’s the post embedded from Facebook:

Dept. 7 East on Broughton Street (the Savannah Tea Room space) has announced via Facebook that they might be opening next week:

And a reminder that Soho South Cafe has been sold and is now under the Daniel Reed Hospitality umbrella (owners of Local 11 Ten and The Public Kitchen & Bar). Soho is currently closed for renovations but should reopen soon under the same name, with some of the same menu items, and with the hours expanded to include dinner on the weekends. Really looking forward to that.

Also, you guys might want to do yourselves a favor sometime and swing by Bobo Seafood Market on Montgomery near 44th Street for the low country boil. A heaping serving is just $7.50. From my Instagram:
