The family that gave us Live Wire Music Hall — operating as LOVE MUSIC AND LIVE WIRE SOUNDS — is throwing an ambitious Savannah event from June 21-23: the Savannah Summer Solstice Music and Arts Festival.
The 3-day event will be held at Red Gate Campground, just off Chatham Parkway near the intersection with Veterans Parkway.

From the family that brought you Live Wire Music Hall, comes Savannah’s first ever camping festival, Savannah Summer Solstice Music and Arts Festival. The festival will be held at Red Gate Farms, a beautiful 200 acre campground located just 8 minutes from downtown Savannah, June 21stÂ23rd. The festival will include:
â— 25+ musical acts representing the best in national, regional, and local talent performing on multiple stages
â— 2 nights of primitive on site camping (Fri & Sat)
â— Cultural and artist vendors educating, creating, and selling products
â— A variety of fare offered by some of Savannah’s best restaurants
â— A family gathering celebrating music and arts with a dedicated area for children and parents to enjoy (including art education, carnival style attractions, and an exceptional musical experience)

The last musical performance will end the afternoon of Sunday June 23rd.
Festival weekend passes, which include a primitive campsite, are currently available for $75. Day passes will go on sale May 31. Click here for ticket info.

Given the time of year, the likely heat, the proximity to the city, and the likelihood that most attendees will be from the immediate area, I would guess that most attendees will buy day passes rather than camp out all weekend. But we’ll see.
