For several months now, I’ve had just two direct advertisers on this blog: Melaver/McIntosh and Cindy Rents Savannah. Both businesses seem pleased with the exposure that they’re getting for $20 per month.
If you click on the squares at the top of the right sidebar (over there >>>>>>>), you can go directly to those businesses’ websites.
Every time I make an appeal for additional advertisers, I get a smattering of interest, but rarely do any of those contacts result in ads. It’s a bit of a puzzle to me, frankly.
Savannah Unplugged’s traffic varies considerably, but I’m averaging close to 400 page views per day. That’s about twice the traffic of a year ago. About half of my visitors are from the immediate Savannah area. I have never done a survey of my readership, but it seems to be a fairly well-educated group interested in culture, music, and politics.
If you’re curious about advertising here, I’m more than happy to help get a logo into the appropriate 125 x 125 format to appear at the top of the sidebar. As I said, it’s $20/month and the ad will appear on every post and page. The ads automatically reshuffle when the page is refreshed.
Please keep in mind that I cannot accept ads for businesses that I would likely have occasion to write about in my Savannah Morning News columns.
The other ads you see here — the banner at the top, the rectangles in this post and below it — are generated automatically by Google Adsense, through which I make a bit of money. But I’d like to have from 4 to 6 of the small square ads. Please email me at billdawers@comcast.net if you’re interested.
