I’m not going to recap my Tuesday City Column here — Evidence mounting that Savannah home prices have bottomed.
Here I’m just including the graph of Zillow’s Home Price Index, which shows the high, the low, and the lag — the fact that Savannah metro area (Chatham, Effingham, and Bryan Counties) home prices have mirrored national trends, but with a lag of about six months. That lag is barely noticeable in this graph covering ten years; I discuss the data in more detail in the column.
Zillow? I have found it an increasingly good source for home value data, trends, and analysis.
By the way, there’s no reason to expect a big spike from here, and there’s always the possibility of further declines this winter.
