Dinosaur Feathers / Shark? / General Oglethorpe and the Panhandlers – The Jinx – 10/04/12

From Savannah Stopover:

Brooklyn’s Dinosaur Feathers returns to Savannah following their blistering opening set for Oberhofer last March to headline a Thursday night of masked musical mayhem at The Jinx. Traveling with them will be another indestructible predator from the Brooklyn borough, Shark? plus an appearance by Savannah’s own soon to be extinct General Oglethorpe & The Panhandlers.

Shark? and Dinosaur Feathers are traveling together for a month — The Ancient Predatours Tour. This gig at The Jinx is called The Ancient Predators Ball. Appropriate attire encouraged.

From the SMN’s Brooklyn’s finest join Savannah favorite for Oct. 4 special concert:

Hot off their incredible kickoff of the 2012 Savannah Stopover, Brooklyn’s Dinosaur Feathers are returning to the city — and this time they’re bringing along some killer friends.

On Oct. 4, the harmonic trio and tour buddies Shark? will join forces with local favorite General Oglethorpe and the Panhandlers at The Jinx for what’s sure to be one of the fall’s best shows.

I thoroughly enjoyed Dinosaur Feathers’ set at the Stopover, which was especially dramatic under the live oaks of Telfair Square:

This is apparently one of the last — if not the last — gig for the young Savannah band General Oglethorpe and the Panhandlers, the members of which seem poised to tackle a variety of other creative endeavors.
