I have over 2700 friends on Facebook. Three of them “like” the band Adelitas Way, which was just announced as the headliner for the Savannah Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon.
So I sure don’t feel bad for never having heard of them, despite the band’s 130,000+ likes on Facebook. I had never heard of last year’s headliner Carolina Liar either — and haven’t heard anything about them since that set in Forsyth Park in November 2011.

Last year, Savannah-based The Train Wrecks performed both before and after the headliner — and got the crowd a lot more engaged. Let’s hope the event organizers make a similar move this year.
