Two great indie rock Athens-based bands played The Jinx on Friday night in another show produced by Savannah Stopover.
I hadn’t seen headliner Modern Skirts for a couple of years, but they still attack their set with both power and precision — this time I was especially swept along by the beat set by drummer John Swint.
I missed The District Attorneys when they played the 2012 Savannah Stopover after rain forced a change of time and venue, but I’m thrilled I caught their full set this time. All five band members have great voices, and there was a good bit of trade-off in terms of lead vocals and keyboards.
