Ambling threw one hell of a party, which we surely enjoyed. We’ve since joked that it was the best party a $1000 refundable deposit could buy. The food was great, the entertainment fantastic and the architectural plans …. way over what the market could possibly support. We had originally hoped for a townhouse, but it became apparent we could afford a studio . . .so we got the deposit back after the second party (this time, we toured historic houses opened up just for “first families” like us who had plunked down a deposit.” This time, Ambling wanted more money and had interiors from which to choose – but no apparent building going on.
