Raconteurs aplenty when The Unchained Tour comes to Savannah on Feb. 10

Family business prevented me from attending that 2011 Unchained Tour in Savannah, but I’m planning to make the 2011 version, scheduled for 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10th at the Savannah History Museum at 303 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.

And I’m posting this right now because tickets went on sale earlier today, and there is virtually no doubt that this event will sell out fast.

Go to The Unchained Tour website to purchase tickets ($17 each), or check out the purchase locations and methods on the Facebook event page. Or go straight to Showclix.

This year’s Unchained features Savannah native Edgar Oliver who earned raves for his one-man show in 2011 at Spoleto; plus — quoting from the Facebook page:

Peter Aguero, a multi-talented artist currently hosting The Moth and leading NYC’s improvised storytelling rock band, The BTK Band; Elna Baker, famous Mormon, comedian, author and contributor of This American Life; Joan Juliet Buck, the novelist, actress (Julie & Julia), and esteemed former editor of French Vogue; Tina Brown, an award-winning newspaper reporter, storyteller and author of “Crooked Road Straight: The Awakening of AIDS Activist Linda Jordan”; and Shovels & Rope, a Charleston based “sloppy tonk” band consisting of Michael Trent and Cary Ann Hearst.
