Four great musical acts in three days: November 9th to 11th

I’m presumably going to be posting a lot about the Savannah Music Festival in the first week of November, but I just wanted to give a heads up about some great live music on tap for the week after that. All of these are listed on my very selective and extremely subjective 912 Music Calendar.

From that calendar page, you can click on each listing for more detailed information, audio, video, links, pricing, etc.

Here are the four acts:
November 9th, Audra McDonald at Trustees Theater.
November 10th, Peter Case with Greg Williams at Muse Arts Warehouse.
November 10th, The New Mastersounds with Fox Street All Stars at Locos.
November 11th, John Mellencamp at Johnny Mercer Theatre.

Mellencamp’s tour is going to be simply amazing!! John and his band always put on a great show. He’s been hard at work after turning 60. Not only is his latest album pure gold (ranked in the year’s top dozen by Rolling Stone), but this concert is featuring a lot of stuff that will transform the show into a brilliant experience. It kicks off with a documentary (Selected by SXSW) about the making of his album and tour with Bob Dylan.

He has segmented the concert into 3 parts-he’s starting with some rockabilly, then going into the acoustics, and finishing strong with up-tempo full rock!! He has always been know to keep a consistent intensity throughout a show and he really knows when to turn up the volume and when to slow things down to engage the crowd.
If you haven’t seen John at least once in your life, you are missing a great show by a rock legend. I could not be more excited to dance along with John!!!
