Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon update: The Train Wrecks joining Carolina Liar in Forsyth, line-up of bands on the course released

Well it turns out that the surprise headlining act Carolina Liar will only be playing from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on November 5th in Forsyth Park. The race starts at 7:30 a.m., so lots and lots of runners will miss Carolina Liar entirely.

But they’ll get some authentic Savannah sounds with The Train Wrecks, who will play early (8:30 a.m to 10 a.m.) and late (12:15 p.m. to 3 p.m.). Obviously, it seems a little odd that the headliner is only playing for a little over an hour and The Train Wrecks for more than 4 hours, but you won’t find me complaining. I’m a bigger fan of The Train Wrecks and of frontman Jason Bible every time I hear them. I was lucky to hear them recently at a private party on the water in South Carolina, and to hear Jason playing solo at a house party. He’s a remarkably skilled and passionate-but-low-key musician.

That page also includes a link to the pdf that I’ve copied below with the entire lineup of bands on the course.

I know the work of only about a dozen bands on this list, so I’m curious to hear some of them.

I’m not running — ha — but I do hope to make it to a few different stops on the course.

By the way, the Jimmy Wolling Band is misspelled in the list below. If you see any other such errors, please let me know.
