Gas prices should continue downward slide

I predicted over a week ago that we should see average gas prices in the Savannah area fall eventually to $3.30 per gallon or less. But the price of crude has been bouncing around a bit, which could make that decline less likely.

Still, that’s my guess. $3.30 or less on average in a matter of weeks. As tracked by GasBuddy, average Savannah prices for regular unleaded are about $3.46 a gallon right now, about 12 cents below the US average.

Barring some unexpected geopolitical developments or natural catastrophes, I think the weak world economy will prevent big or lasting spikes in the price of crude. So we should see prices at the pump continue to fall for the foreseeable future.
