Savannah Stopover launches monthly Stopover Presents Concert Series with singer-songwriter Ashleigh Flynn at The Sentient Bean

Well there’s more good news from the Savannah Stopover: the launching of the monthly Stopover Presents Concert Series.

First up in the series will be Portland, Oregon-based singer-songwriter Ashleigh Flynn at The Sentient Bean. Check out the Stopover’s post about the show here. You can go straight to Flynn’s website here. The show is May 3rd, 8 p.m., $5 at the door.

With a downhome style and a crystal pure voice, I suspect Flynn will be a big hit here in Savannah. From her website, you can download a stunningly good mp3 of a live version of “Will the Circle be Unbroken.”

If you’ve been out of the loop and missed the Savannah Stopover, check out their website; all of my posts tagged Savannah Stopover are here. I just continue to be remarkably impressed by the boldness, the knowledge, and the “Just Do It” philosophy that festival founder and MusicFile Productions CEO Kayne Lanahan has brought to programming indie music acts in Savannah. The recent announcement of this new monthly series is great news for the city.

Check out this video for “Knock on Wood”:

According to the invitation on Facebook, Flynn is currently working on her 4th studio album, which will be produced by Chris Funk of The Decemberists.
